This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are some of the most amazing young people on this planet. However, many come to school uninterested in the institution of school. I have found that the arts and ceramics in particular can be the hook that gets young people excited about school. "Art is the hammer that shapes our reality."

Many of my students come from extreme poverty.

My students come from a diverse background. I have found that once my students are given a chance and a hook that gets them involved, they can do anything.

My Project

Your help is needed to help students expand their minds. A potters wheel can transform a student's world. Your generous donation will be used to purchase a potters wheel for the ceramics studio. We are in need of several wheels to accommodate my students needs.

Working with ceramics and using the potters wheel can be instrumental in capturing a young person's imagination and excitement.

Your contribution will help to change a student's life for the better. Imagine how powerful an experience on the potters wheel can be for a student. The wheel can be the motivation that captures a young person's mind and propels them onto greatness.
