My Project

As a special education teacher, my goal is to teach my students how to regulate their emotions and manage their physical, mental, and emotional health. Our school is aiming to create a welcoming sensory space to meet these needs. This room will be used as a retreat for any and all students as needed, for a break from the pressures of class or peers. Additionally, our class will be focusing on reading relatable social stories that teach important mental health skills such as empathy, coping mechanisms, active listening, and communication.

Help us provide visual supports, curriculum materials, and social stories to assist our students with disabilities in improving their mental health skills!
