Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are in need of a better way to organize student work. The system we have now requires me to sort through everyone's work and then combine everything so that it is ready to go home. This tray unit would allow everyone to have their own tray so all we would need to do is grab everything in their tray and put it away so it's ready to go home.

Having an organized system where students are responsible for putting away their own work gives them ownership of the classroom.

They become more independent. If everything has its own space, and they are able to put things in their place on their own (rather than teacher doing everything), they learn responsibility, cooperation, and community. My goal is to make students that can take charge of their learning and have fun in the process.
