My Project

A classroom rug is an important learning space in the room, and in many ways is really the heart of the room, as most of our learning takes place gathered together there. This rug will be new, bright, and inviting.

When students come together as a class on the rug, many skills are being developed, including connections that build our classroom family.

Carpet time supports early learners' academic and social-emotional development. On the classroom rug, students will not only start and end their day, but academic lessons and activities take place there as well. This rug will help students establish boundaries in finding their own space, and assist with daily routines. This rug will provide a welcoming environment for current and future students.
