This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our brilliant Project LIT readers are about to begin reading a new book to celebrate AAPI Month. We are so fortunate to have many more 3rd and 4th grade students than we anticipated when we ordered the books last summer. We need 30 extra copies so that each student can have her/his own copy to enjoy reading and sharing with his/her family at home.

We know that our students will be inspired by this "timely, accessible, and beautifully written story exploring themes of food, friendship, family and what it means to belong, featuring sixth graders Sara, a Pakistani American, and Elizabeth, a white, Jewish girl taking a South Asian cooking class taught by Sara’s mom."

We would be so grateful to you for putting a book in the hands of each of our Project LIT readers!
