Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are bright and energetic kindergarten students. They come to our Zoom virtual meetings each day ready to learn. Most of my students come to me with limited or no English skills.

My students are immigrants from other countries and are limited in the English language.

Their parents have brought them to America to make a better life for their families. My students work hard to learn English while also learning reading, writing, and math. My students require motivating experiences to develop their basic academic skills.

My Project

Our Kindergarten class needs a color printer and some ink cartridges to help print and scan materials needed to enhance my student's remote learning experience. The color printer will be used to print visuals cues for vocabulary words, math, writing, and reading support materials to draw students' attention to the lessons. Having a color printer will make my virtual lessons more colorful and engaging when I model the activities for the students in a video or while in our Zoom meetings. The visuals will help my students to better understand the lessons and complete the tasks. This printer will be used at home and will also become a part of my classroom once we return to school. Thanks in advance for supporting my project. The color printer will surely increase my student's overall interest.
