This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in an urban district, with every child receiving free lunch due to high poverty. Our school is in jeopardy of being taken over by the state. With a huge financial deficit, it makes it impossible to buy supplies directly through our school system.

Many of my kids have learning disabilities and benefit from hands-on activities at different levels, allowing me to differentiate their classwork.

These children deserve the very best to overcome the poverty cycle and allow them to be college-bound!

My Project

Over the years I've always wanted to make a "How I'm Feeling Today" wall where each student of mine has their picture up in the classroom and if they are in a good mood they'd leave it where it was on the light string and if they aren't feeling well, mentally or physically, they can let me and the other students know by taking their picture off the wall and putting it off to the side of the other wall. The Kodak portable printer and film aka cartridges will allow me to do just that. The Photo Clip String Lights 100 LED will allow me to hang all their pictures throughout the year up in the back of the classroom. It'll also be great for knowing the online learners faces and I can use this to make a yearbook for my kids!!! I have always taken pictures yet are never able to print them out easily and this will work great with the classroom for all the activities including field trips.
