Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Engaging students in fun and educational in an after-school club can be challenging. "Snapshots Photography Club" is a club that addresses this issue. My students are from a low socioeconomic status and would benefit from participating. The club is currently offered to 7 and 8th-grade students. They are eager to attend and experience taking photos. The club also is a mentoring program and assists with school work.

What better way to expose my students to photography than by sharing my passion for photography.

Through hands-on activities, my students will discover a world of photography. Students will be challenged to view their world through the lens of a camera. In the Snapshots Photography Club, my students will discover a world of photography. So we are requesting a DCanon EOS Rebel T6 EF-S IS II Lens 18 MP DSLR Camera Kit.

My Project

Many of these students have expressed the desire to be photographers what better way to build their resume than being a part of this club. This club will provide them with experiences that they can take with them into the future.

Students will have the opportunity to take various types of photographs, from yearbook pictures to school events as well as sports activities.

My students would need a good camera to capture yearbook pictures.

I am hopeful to inspire my students to continue on a path on academic excellence and provide them with life experiences many of us see as "typical."
