Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The headphones would allow students to be able to hear what they are playing. We do not have a class set of headphones at this time and students all play keyboards at the same time. This system makes it difficult for students to hear their own work. Headphones would also allow students to progress at their own level. The rechargeable batteries and charging system would allow the keyboards to be powered wirelessly for years to come.

My goal for this project is to continue to enhance my students music education by providing high quality experiences on a variety of instruments.

Playing keyboards promotes note reading, fine motor skill development, and creativity in my students.

My students have begun experimenting with the keyboards already this year and they are very excited to move into learning whole songs later in the year. They view music as an outlet where they can explore and create both as individuals and as a whole class experience. Learning cooperation and teamwork through music is process enjoyed by my classes.
