This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My social studies classroom sees a total of 450 students weekly, and I pride myself in intertwining literacy within my social studies curriculum. We do close readings and take notes, we write short responses, compose research papers, and edit each others writing.

Pencils are a hot commodity in my classroom and they go quickly.

I would love to always have them readily available for all of my students for the entire school year. A pencil a day creates writers and I have 450 students who have all of the potential in the world! Help me give them the tools they need.
