Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me create a peaceful place for the students at my school. With the items in this order, we will transform a small classroom into a place where students can regulate their emotions or solve conflicts within themselves or others. In a place like Chicago where there is a lot of uncertainty, I want to give our students somewhere to feel calm, safe, and peaceful. The rug and furniture will provide a place for rest and reflection, and the plants and lamps will create a calm place where emotions can flow and resolution can be found. I hope to give kids a place where they can feel their feelings and determine the next best steps for them. A peaceful place will be a haven for all students at the school.
