My Students

My goal as a teacher is to make learning fun for all of my wonderful students! Many of my students have a hard time sitting and concentrating through projects and centers. I'd love to be able to offer seats on stability balls as an alternative to chairs!

I teach 24 eager-to-learn 3rd graders in a high poverty district.

Some of my students are on IEPs to help with attention issues and learning disabilities. Many of my students find it hard to sit in chairs for long periods of time. My goal is for each student to get the most out of every school day!

My Project

I am requesting 10 stability balls for students to use in place of their chairs. Offering alternatives to sitting on hard chairs during the school day will help many children who have a hard time "sitting still". I am hoping the stability balls will enhance our classroom's environment!

Giving students the opportunity for movement during the long school day can be the difference between a student being off task and a student focused and ready to learn!

I am so excited to offer this much needed opportunity to my students in need!
