My Students

Our classroom is designed to support students not only academically but also socially and emotionally. It is a safe inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and listened to.

My students are a combination of General Education students and Special Education students.

We are an inclusive environment that focuses not only on academics but also on creating a safe, warm, loving classroom where every student feels capable and willing to take risks. Each student is given the opportunity to complete their work where they feel they can do their best.

My Project

In our classroom our students have become avid readers. They drop everything when it is time to pick up a book and read. They love discussing what they've read with their classmates and their families. We have seen such an increase in their love of reading and their stamina, that our library books are beginning to fall apart. The children have been taken on many new adventures this year because of their new found love of reading. They have explored cultures and regions that they never new existed due to the love of a good book. These new books will allow our student's to continue their new reading journey.
