Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classes are a mixed group of general education and special education students. Some of my students work on iPads instead of Chromebooks and it presents difficulty when it comes to instruction. If I had an iPad, I would be able to instruct those students when help is needed.

I could use as much technology as possible to help with the planning, grading and implementation of lessons.

My one computer is just not enough and an iPad would be extremely helpful with my teaching.

My Project

I have been teaching from home since November. My lack of technology affects my ability to teach effectively. One Chromebook is just not enough. Many of my students work on iPads and trying to teach them from the Chromebook is extremely difficult. If I had an iPad I would have an easier time instructing them. Having two screens would also be very helpful because I could stream a live meet on one, while accessing their grades on another.

A new iPad would help so much with my lessons and projects.

We study ancient civilizations in Social studies. Using the iPad would be so helpful with including pictures in my slideshows. This lack of technology stymies my progress when trying to create vivid slideshows. We, as a class, love to include pictures in our projects. Having an iPad would help us with this task.

Also, many of my students have only iPads at home, instead of a Chromebook like me. Helping them with the technology, when I don´t have an iPad to access is a struggle. If I had a new iPad, instruction would be elevated for my very needy students.

Please help. An iPad would help us so very much.
