My Project

Celebrating neurodivergency and ensuring that students feel psychologically and physically safe in the classroom is our priority. Each item listed tackles sensory and classroom needs that will provide students with multiple ways to access the lessons and feel a heightened sense of belonging. For example, the covers for the chair legs will significantly reduce the loud sounds accompanied by the constant moving of the desk and chairs back and forth.

One of our goals in the Exploration Classroom is helping students build and refine their self-advocacy skills as they use the world and prior knowledge to reveal the way they wish to learn about themselves and others.

Our students are brilliant and have so much to say. Please help us create a physical space where sensory needs are met so that our students may feel comfortable in a low-stress environment.
