Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We need mind expanding and inspiring listening resources. My students do not all have access to multiple listening and reading experiences. Many have no resources other than TVs and radio to explore.

I teach in a low economic community where all students are on the lunch program.

The area is primarily English learners and the students have very little resources. My students thrive on opportunities to use their listening skills to forward their learning.

My Project

We all know how powerful the sounds of our lives can be. Whether it's the sounds of the rain forest, the reading of a book, or music of the world, it all changes lives. Listening to music while drawing, following along with a book to your favorite story, even following audio directions for an activity; the list goes on for fun and purposeful uses.

This listening center, CD player and the accompanying audio books will help develop my students' individualism and provide a resource to support their academic achievements.

Children need multiple learning methods to learn skills and listening is one of the best.
