A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to be the school counselor for my amazing students! Our high school is made up of 120 students who live on a Native American Reservation. Many of my students come to school with a lot other than what they are supposed to be learning that day weighing on their minds. Despite the obstacles they face, my students come to school eager to learn and have fun doing it.
As a counselor and passionate advocate for children, I believe it is a duty of mine to play an active part in giving my students any resource they need to succeed.
Children are at mercy of their environment and my resilient students face many adversities. I aim to help my students realize their potential and skills in order to overcome obstacles they face and be successful in high school and beyond.
My Project
As a school counselor, I strive to provide the support and resources my high school students need to realize their potential. Every student already has everything they need to be successful and I am here to help them see that. In order to do this, I will be teaching classroom lessons, leading small group counseling and meet with students individually.
A Microsoft Surface Pro is the perfect tool to facilitate the success of my comprehensive school counseling program.
Not only will the Microsoft Surface allow me to create engaging presentations for students and parents/guardians alike, but its portability will allow me to easily go from classroom to classroom and bring my materials where ever I need to go. Also, the variety of features available on the Microsoft Surface Pro will allow my students to utilize helpful strategies and resources during group and individual counseling.
