My Students

My students are an amazing group of hard-working kids. They are highly creative and inquisitive.

As their teacher, I want to encourage them to become lifelong learners by providing them with opportunities to explore and question the world around them.

My Project

Our students are currently dealing with emotional and academic stress. As educators, we need to combat this by giving students opportunities to connect with learning that interests them. We must find ways to reignite the spark of fun in learning. I remember looking through my first microscope. It was amazing to be able to see things so closely, and I found myself wanting to learn more; know more.

Utilizing these microscopes, my forty-two 5th graders will explore the microscopic world; which will allow them to focus on something new and exciting instead of the Covid situation.

Students will use them to examine differences in physical properties and enhance their claim/evidence/reasoning skills. This will lead to additional questions, research, and discussions. These microscopes will captivate students' imagination and bring excitement in learning back into the classroom.
