This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fourth-grade tinkerers are part of an amazing school in Brooklyn, New York. Our thriving community has big hopes and dreams, but our students don’t always have access to essential learning materials. Some of them face additional challenges, as they are second language learners. In spite of these roadblocks, my students are enthusiastic scholars with boundless curiosity and creativity! Their zest for exploring and learning continually renews my own passion for learning and reminds me why I love my job.

My Project

Help Us Hit the Ground Running!

My students need a new printer, ink and a set of new book bins.

In order to create a literacy rich environment in the classroom, I need to make charts, create signs, and print new words that the students are learning. I need a printer and toner so I can print handouts for my students and letters for their parents.

Today, as school budgets continue to cruelly shrink I am once again calling upon the Donors Choose community to help me set up my room for this upcoming year. Included in this request are a printer, ink and library cubbies.

My students deserve to have the richest, most rewarding 4th grade year possible, and it is thanks to people such as yourselves who help a great deal in meeting that goal.
