My Students

Do you remember a time before computers, when you had to go to the library for hours to look up information and check out loads of books? Now we have the magical window where nothing comes between you and what you love.

I have 21 outstanding, energetic, and bright young 1st graders from different places in the world.

They need a lot of challenge, collaboration, and cooperative learning. They love to work in small group settings where they support and encourage one another. They speak in different languages. I teach in a Title 1 high poverty school. They need the best possible experience they can get at such an early age.

My Project

I can see the iPad tablet beneficial on several levels for my students--the gifted, as well as, for intervention. It will give them every opportunity possible for different learning experiences. This will give the students some support that some of them might not get to have at home. It will give them priceless memories for current and future students. They can use it for centers as games, as well as, for references. It is wireless and easy to carry and roam around the room. It is a tablet computer that is easy to learn. They can use it to shoot videos, take photos, perform on-line, such as web browsing and researching material. it is brilliant--in every since of the word.

You can actually touch your photos, read a book, or research material needed for the young at heart .Absolutely, nothing comes between you and what you love--the fundamental element of an i-pad. They can use this paperless tablet in small group situations for intervention or center locations to improve reading and math skills. The gifted students can use this tablet as a research tool to create projects, presentations, and movies.
