My Project

I have recently moved schools and I now provide RSP services to a group of incredible children in grade TK-5. My students have a wide range of disabilities which impede their ability to learn independently in a General Education setting. My students predominantly come from low-income households which makes it difficult for them to have access to resources that could positively impact their academics and social emotional health.

Despite the enormous challenges my students face, they are still kind, hardworking and genuinely excited to come to school to learn.

While my students and I have been practicing important life skills like emotional regulation, many of my students are still learning how to regulate their emotions and bodies. With your generosity, I will be able to purchase a couple beanbags, a rug, a bookcase, books, and stress balls to give my students a safe, calming corner where they can deescalate. Then, when they are able, they can rejoin lessons and continue to learn. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our project. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to us.
