This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello, my name is Ms. Shafer, and I'm pretty sure I have some of the best students in whole world. Ever since student teaching with these kids, I have been ready to get back to them. This year, as a fifth year teacher, I have moved up with my kids. Seeing them grow into people is such a fun experience.

We are developing world changers, and I could not be more excited.

My students are independent thinkers. They are team players. They think about others before they think about themselves. They wonder how their actions impact the environment and those around them. They are sarcastic, hilarious, and so much fun to be around. They're the best part of my job

My Project

I love to do over the top room makeovers (what's a murder mystery without a little lightening or an escape room without Mission Impossible playing in the background?). These items would help me put together a wondrous novel study experience for years to come!

I am excited to make reading magical for my middle schoolers!

I want to do a novel study with the first Harry Potter book and up the ante by making my room a little more magical too! Your donation will help provide illustrated books as well as a variety of decor items to really bring the story to life (flameless candles, anyone?). Thanks for making reading magical!
