A Little Pal for Big Readers!

Help me give my students the opportunity to grow in their love of reading and reinforce positive behaviors by providing them with 12 reading pals that they can take home to share with their families.

My Project

Our students come to school eager and enthusiastic to learn, especially when it comes to reading. They come from a low-income community, and many face challenges outside of school, but they always approach each day with curiosity and excitement.

The 12 reading pals we are requesting for our K-2 classrooms will serve as a meaningful reward for positive behavior and a tool to foster a love of reading at home.

These reading pals will be sent home with students, encouraging them to share stories with their families and practice reading in a comfortable and supportive environment. This will not only strengthen their literacy skills but also reinforce the importance of good character. Our goal for this project is to inspire a love of reading both in the classroom and at home while rewarding students for their positive behaviors and character traits. What makes our students special is their resilience and eagerness to grow, and we believe these reading pals will help continue to build their confidence, motivation, and love for learning.
