My Students

The past year and a half has been interesting to say the least. Students and teachers were tasked with virtual learning, troubleshooting technology from afar, and adjusting to the many moods of Wifi. In a few short weeks, the normalcy that we are used to will resume.

This is the final year of my program at my school and I would like for every single day of the school year to be one to remember.

This year, I have all boys and I am terribly excited to see how much learning they are capable of achieving this year. I am also looking forward to seeing them graduate at the end of the school year. Because my students are with me from grades 3-5, I know many of the things required to keep them engaged in the learning process.

My Project

We are in need of a new classroom printer for day to day tasks. Homework packets that can used throughout the week, permission slip notices and important documents are a constant in our classroom. With a new printer that serves many purposes, we are able to have our needs met with one resource. This will also eliminate long lines in the front office with the copy machine.

With so much uncertainty with all that is going on, we want to ensure student and teacher safety as we navigate through the building.

To eliminate some of these concerns, a classroom refrigerator and ice maker will be able to take care of eating and hydrating needs. We are still unable to utilize the water fountains that are placed throughout the building. For students who are in need of something colder to drink, they can use the refrigerator. They can also use the refrigerator for their lunches. My class size is small so that a mini refrigerator works perfectly.

As we begin a new school year that we can only hope will go smooth, one thing we know is that the resources we are requesting will at least give us a start.
