My Students

Flexibility is a big part of my job! Where I teach depends a lot on the weather. You see, I don't have a gym or an all-purpose room so I teach outside! My students expect great activities no matter where we have PE.

My students LOVE coming to PE!

They long for activities that keep them active, yet also teach them something! One of the most important things that I teach my students is that it doesn't matter if you win or loose, but did you have fun today! Teaching them early on how important it is to not only be active, but to have fun is huge!

My Project

When school starts the weather in South Louisiana is hot and a little unpredictable! Therefore I have to be ready to teach anywhere. If it's too hot or raining outside then I must adapt my lessons for inside the classroom. My students will be able to focus on important math skills while being physically active.

If my project is funded we will be able to work on important academic skills during PE.

I will be able to accomplish this in a way that I call camouflage fitness. Students will be learning, while being active and they won't even realize it because they will be having so much fun!
