Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are always eager to learn about an exciting new story or get involved in hands-on activities. As a team that we are they are always willing to use prior knowledge and exciting ideas to make learning fun. They are full of spunk. "A person's a person no matter how small" Dr. Seuss

My students are mainly Hispanic and we are considered a title 1 school.

Therefore, many students come from low income family homes and are on free or reduce lunch. The school I work for is amazing. The administration and staff are very supportive and work closely to insure the needs of our students. Our main focus is the well-being and safety of all of the students. We work together and strive for excellence and achievement of every child. All in all the students that I teach are well-rounded boys and girls full of energy and willing to do what it takes to succeed.

My Project

My students can envision themselves sitting on a computer with a new set of headphones and working on the amazing programs we offer. They are also able to bring there work alive. Many worry about no ink or no printer but having that available to them will allow students to be at ease and focus on what's more important, learning. In addition, standing in front of a class can be a challenge on it's own. Yet, being able to present behind a podium will give them more comfort and chances are they will feel more important then what they already are to me. My students deserve the best no matter the circumstances. We make learning happen through hard work and dedication. By having the resources in my class my student's can find tranquility in knowing that work can be accomplished,projects can be printed and presentations can feel real.

My class involves writing, grammar and reading.

Yet, the donations will give ease and comfort to those students that come from low income homes and can't not afford printers, or might not even have a computer. Being able to arrive at my class and have 22 class computers is a dream for many. Having headphones and there own printer to accomplish work will give student's motivation to continue in striving to be the best they can be.
