This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are loving, fun and energetic! They follow their own paths and enjoy exploring new things.
We are an exploratory classroom, and we learn by listening and using our hands.
The goal of my classroom is to allow my students to grow into their independence and become successful young adults!
My Project
Many of my students weren’t able to learn during Covid breaks, due to multiple disabilities. The items being donated will help learning become easy and fun for my students. My students take a little longer to learn, so the items selected allow them to learn on their time and feel independent as they are in charge of their own success. Learning their abcs are vital to learn word development. The puzzles will associate letters with common items and the puzzle rack will allow the students to learn to alphabetize letters.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
