My Students

My students are brand new to elementary school. This year is an exciting time for them to learn to read, write, count, add, work with others, and so much more!! It is a year full of growth and fun!

Kindergarteners come to school with excitement and an immense readiness to learn!

They are constantly surprising me with all they know, share and accomplish! I want to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for every student. My students come from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I want to make sure they all feel represented, supported and comfortable in our classroom.

My Project

My students love exploring books! They can't wait to search through the library for their favorite stories and read alouds are consistently a favorite activity.

Our library becomes a space where students practice reading strategies, dive into new worlds through stories, find characters they can connect with and a haven to calm their bodies.

I want to create more seating options in our library so students can continue this exploration in a more comfortable environment.The storage bench will provide a new seating option and additional storage so that we can expand our library. The pillows will help create additional comfortable seating choices.
