My Project

Hi there! My 6:1+1 class of mostly nonverbal students with autism runs our school's library cart! The library cart goes from room to room each day delivering books to students, and though the library cart has thus far been a great tool for soliciting engagement and teaching vocational skills to MY students, our customers (the rest of our student body) think the books on our library cart could use a little refresher, so we went around and did a little survey to see what kind of books the students would like and the results were overwhelming.

Our students need books that speak to their needs.

They need books with visuals, books that are interactive and books that pique their interest to foster engagement. Many of the students requested specific mangas, like the ones on my list. Other students said they would like to see more books on their level. Whatever the students' need, I want to fufill it, so please help out our school library cart by donating to our project! Thank you!
