Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school located in Bed-Stuy, NY we service the various needs of a family. At times this may also include providing a space for families to wash their clothes. Last year we launched this space, where families in need can come and wash their clothes at no cost to them. Families have utilized this service and have been so thankful they can send their children with clean clothes everyday. As a school community we care for the various needs of our families and come together to provide solutions that empower them and show we truly care. A laundromat equipped with detergent and softener in a school will be such an incredible support in this effort.
