My Project

My students are inquisitive, engaged scholars from all over the world. They speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Somali, Albanian, Toishanese, and Amharic. More than half are English Language Learners, many have special needs, and most are from low-income households.

After years in a temporary building, we were lucky to get an art room with a kiln this year; however, we don’t have the budget for materials!

I am asking for enough clay, underglaze, and glaze to get my ceramics class off the ground. The items on my list will allow for each of my 125 students to make one ceramic project this year.

My students are curious, thoughtful, funny, and kind. They do their part every day to be present as learners, and they deserve the materials needed to explore their creativity.
