Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are passionate, inquisitive, and kind! They love coming to school to learn and are developing their love for reading. My scholars love to have choices in how and where they learn. Children are aware of what makes them comfortable during their independent work. As a result, students might choose different parts of the room to sit in while they are busy working on their assignments.

This year might be difficult for students to focus and sit in their seats all day.

Many children have been learning remotely and might have a hard time dealing with anxiety and trauma due to the pandemic. As educators, we are here to help and support our children.

My Project

Imagine coming back to school, feeling anxious, and then being told to sit at your desk all day. There is no rug time, no choice to where you can sit, and absolutely nothing to make you feel better or calmer. Imagine no longer. These materials will help me greatly with setting a comfortable and safe environment, where everyone has a choice where to sit. Students might choose to sit in the calming corner on a nice area rug on the comfy rug in the library. It will encourage my students to reflect on their learning because they will think of what makes them comfortable.

By donating to my project, you will not only help my class sit in a comfortable learning environment, but you will also encourage my student to advocate for themselves.

As a result, the academic achievement of my students will increase as well.
