Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This past year I started by reading aloud this book to my students. They loved the book so much that I checked out 25 copies from the public library so each one of my students could have thier own copy as we did a class novel study. I would love to have a class set that I can use next year to continue using novel studies in the classroom and promote a love for reading.

It is a joy to see my students so engaged with this story and experience all the emotions as we read about a rabbit made of china named Edward and his journey that spans decades and continents.

There is nothing like having a good book in your hands. Instead of using worksheets or print outs, we can save paper and create less waste. Students will have a book in their hands to engage in learning about elements of a story, character traits, character development, theme, and symbolism.
