My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to believe in themselves the way I do. The students in my classroom are comprised of general education students, as well as students with various learning and emotional disabilities. On top of educational and emotional disabilities, many of them have experienced trauma in their lives and have difficulty coming to school.

With that being said, how can we close the achievement gap when students do not have the necessary materials to succeed?

The typical student in my class reads below grade level and many struggle with basic phonics and number sense. Their desire to achieve success in school is the driving force behind our desire to give them the world.

My Project

This year each child will have technology devices in school as well as at home. In order to minimize noise, students will be using headphones. The locking file cabinet is a perfect home to safely store headphone. Not only does it provide protection from breaking but the cabinet will keep the headphones in a secure location.

With there being an even heavier importance on cleanliness this year, the technology wipes will provide the students with a safe way to clean their tablets, chromebooks, and headphones.

Please help our students have some peace of mind to know their learning tools are safe!
