My Project

Through the First Tee Indiana program, students will not only develop physical skills aligned to Indiana state and SHAPE America national standards, but programs like this have been proven to increase academic achievement, and build positive personal and social skills that contribute to a whole child approach in education. This engaging program will foster self-confidence and cooperation among students. Not to mention give them another avenue for staying healthy and active for a lifetime.

My goal for this project is to unlock the potential for character development that golf may offer to my students.

Through the provided lessons, I hope to emphasize goal-setting, teamwork, challenge, and how living an active lifestyle can help us to become the best versions of ourselves to name a few.

The students at my school are very special to me. We've built a strong culture through noticing one another, caring about one another, believing in each other, and wanting each other to succeed. That is the foundation for much of what we do. I hope to inspire them to use the skills, knowledge, and confidence they've developed during their time at our school to live their best life after they leave. This is another piece of the puzzle in that quest.
