My Students

I have the honor of working with a number of students: male dancers, female dancers, and even dancers from our special education program to put on a spring dance concert each year. I am hoping, with your help, to provide a memorable concert and dance education experience for my dance students and audience members alike.

Our concert is student driven, student choreographed, with student tech and stage crew, narrators and student performers.

We bring the art and joy of dance to thousands each year!

My Project

Dance is a safe haven. Dance provides an outlet for not only creative and artistic expression, but emotional expression. Many students have trouble articulating the effects COVID has had on them, but they can dance/move it.

Students have found safety through creating and learning movement that they are then able to use to express unique and original ideas, emotions, experiences, and individuality.

Students cultivate and increase their mind-body connection through the unique combination of athleticism and artistry that dance requires, and educate others to do the same through performance.

This year we are focusing our dance educational study on BROADWAY, the history, the superstitions, the career opportunities, the stories, the musicals, the themes, the lessons, and the people. Each dance in our spring dance concert will education our audience on an aspect of Broadway that dance students have studied, researched, and translated into movement. We will bring the glitz and glamour of the Broadway stage to our Dance Concert through original and creative movement educating our audience on the "backstage" aspects of Broadway, bringing the Broadway magic to the forefront of the stage!
