My Students

Our class motto is: Learning through play and having fun learning! As a teacher, I am often found going to garage sales and online looking for affordable toys to purchase for my students. Most of the toys and manipulatives in the classroom have been through second hand.

My students are all ages 3yrs-5yrs old.

They all have special needs but are always showing me they are learning and making lots of progress by leaps and bounds! Through learning and play, the kids are learning so much! We are the only Special Education class on an elementary school campus.

My Project

Our Pre-K class have a minimal amount of center activity toys but not a variety as the students want (and need). As I observe my students interacting with another, I see the importance in allowing the students to have free play time. They learn so many great skills socially and grow cognitively as well. They learn to share and care for one another too. (I love observing my students interact with each other.)

Since my students requested more dinosaur and animal toys and I am compelled by their cute faces to fulfill their wishes!

They deserve it for all their hard work they have been doing all this year!
