When I was a child, I remember exercising by running, hula hooping, playing basketball and playing softball. And, as of today I still exercise at the gym.
My students are 5 and 6 year olds.
They attend a Title I school in the state of Florida. They are very eager students who want to learn about everything. Title I schools are not in the best neighborhoods, so it is hard for the students to go outside play.
My Project
I will be able to teach them how important it is to exercise every day. The resources that I am asking for are hula hoops, balls and jump ropes to help keep my students active at recess. My students will benefit by learning how exercising and eating right helps their bodies.
My students go to P.E.
once a week for exercise and that is not enough. Our bodies need exercise every day to feel good. Since we go to recess every day, I can teach them how to hula hoop, play ball and jump rope. By doing this, I am showing my students that exercising is an important part of their lives forever.
