Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials and snacks that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! With half of my students operating below grade level, reading and writing can be a challenge. To encourage motivation and calmness in the classroom, I am requesting sensory toys and healthy snacks. Sensory toys can have a calming effect and help children focus., it can give children something to do with their hands when they're anxious, it can help reduce the amount of students wandering around the classroom, also it can help children learn about cause and effect, spatial awareness, and memory skills. They can also help children develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and planning. In addition, healthy snacks in the classroom can have many benefits for students, including: improve focus, better students scores, and classroom behaviors.
