My Project

Each year my choir and musical theater students have many opportunities to compete and perform in a variety of events. They also have opportunities in the classroom to choose their own music. At the end of each school year, students have the opportunity to attend NYSSMA, a state-wide music festival and competition where they are evaluated and qualify for additional performance opportunities.

I am looking to build a working library where students can explore and find music that suits their specific needs, with the piano accompaniment ready to help them find success.

All of the music I have selected is ideal for not only NYSSMA, but also a variety of school based opportunities, and is all performance-ready with accompaniment. By creating this library, student choice will be even easier to accomplish in my classroom as it will be easy to grab right off the bookshelf!
