Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me support my students' mental health. Tenth grade—especially tenth-grade math—can be tough, and I want to make the classroom the happiest place possible. I want to bring more nature and joy to the learning environment.

With the requested supplies, my students will have the opportunity to decorate pots for their plants and take care of them all year; they will learn responsibility and appreciate nature.

My students are bright, creative, and hard-working. They have lots of energy and love opportunities to be outside, so greenery in the classroom will be a very welcome addition.

Games and coloring books will also allow them to decompress when needed, and snacks will fuel students throughout the long school day. They will use sporting equipment (football, basketball, soccer ball, ball pump, jump rope) on excursions to the park to support their wellness.
