My Students

My first graders are just experiencing their first full year in school. Their kindergarten year was mostly virtual, then some experienced hybrid learning. Some students never returned to the building at all.

I am trying to give my first graders a positive experience, as "normal" as possible, while feeling safe and secure.

My Project

First Grade, Speaking and Listening: SL.1.1 Participate in collaborative conversations with diverse partners about grade 1 topics and texts with peers and adults in small and larger groups. They are not able to move about the room and share materials as they have in the past, so finding new ways to store materials is essential.

These resources will allow me to organize my room to maximize interaction among the students while adhering to COVID protocols.

My students need to interact in the classroom in various groupings (large groups, small groups, partners) in a safe and manner.
