Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are bright eyed and starving for knowledge. My -K-1 children are like a sponge. They want to learn everything and they learn so much by using their senses and intuition. Although my students are on the Autistic spectrum, they are just as curious and want what all children want which is to have fun, be accepted by their peers and mentors, feel safe and comforted, and explore the world around them. They want to experience and learn new things.

My Project

Most of my students are experiencing the classroom for the very first time after being virtual for over a year. My students thrive when they are motivated. Using hands-on, fun materials such as puzzles, magnetic numbers, and letters will encourage my students to work together and learn from each other.

Socialization is so important for my student's social-emotional well-being, especially since my population of students is Autistic.

My students will learn to work in groups and to complete a task independently. Puzzles are so helpful in teaching problem solving and working both in groups and independently.
