Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergarten is awesome! My students are very eager to learn more and more every day. They are extremely curious and they love to read and engage in Math! I am a Kindergarten, bilingual teacher at a school where most of our students are struggling readers and are one or more years below grade level in reading.

It is my number one priority to get my students reading on grade level, or above and to give them a strong Math foundation so that they are well prepared for first grade.

I am at a low socioeconomic school where many of our students have tremendous learning gaps. Many of our students have difficult home lives, so it is extremely important to provide them with a safe, caring, and positive learning environment.

My Project

We are in need of supplies to have a successful beginning of the school year. I really enjoy teaching my students how to be organized with their work therefore providing them with composition notebooks is needed in order for them to organize their foldables and organizers.

Pencils and highlighters are also highly needed because we interact with various texts on a daily to better our comprehension skills.

I would also love to have enough anchor chart paper and paper tablet paper to create interactive anchor charts alongside my students.

Lastly We would use the cardstock paper to make foldables and activities to make learning more fun and engaging!
