My Students

I teach at a unique urban school in Los Angeles. My students come from a variety of backgrounds. I teach students in kindergarten through fifth grade, and many of them have individual needs that do not allow them to attend a traditional school on a daily basis.

Many of my students have emotional and social issues, frequent medical treatments, safety concerns, difficulty in a traditional school setting, and/or are homeless.

My students each face their own challenges every day outside of school. Some are grade levels behind and others are grade levels ahead.

My Project

My Students will be returning to school eager to get back to "normal". With changes happening daily, my students need to be safe.

To help keep my students safe, my students need their own, pencils, pencil pouches, and pencil sharpeners so that they do not have to share.

Giving my students their own supplies helps decrease the chances of spreading germs and helps to keep them safe.

My students also need new novels and storybooks to start off the year on a positive note, as well as some motivational posters to inspire and welcome them back to school.
