My Project

I teach in a Title I public school where nearly all students come from low-income households. My students are a diverse group of fourth graders, who are English Language Learners. They are learning English and trying to master the fourth-grade curriculum, at the same time. Our classroom is a place where students come to both learn and escape. We try to explore and deepen our thinking, while also learning. I know that they will work very hard and aim to be the best students that they could possibly be.

The materials in this project will give us the confidence to start a new year off on the right foot.

The pencils and erasers will help my students know that they have the basic supplies that they need when they enter the classroom each day. The dry erase whiteboard, will ensure that my students have a welcoming environment when they enter the classroom each day. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow my students to have access to materials and support devices that they can use daily, such as anchor charts and graphic organizers.
