My Project

I teach a diverse group of second-graders in a specialized 8:1:1 program that serves students on the autism spectrum at a public school in Brooklyn. My students are creative, inquisitive, and compassionate. I want my students to be set up for success in September with the classroom materials they need to succeed!

My students are enthusiastic learners who love learning when they have an organized classroom environment with engaging materials that help them learn.

The students in my classroom learn best with the use of visual supports. The pocket chart and stand will help me provide my students with hands-on visuals to support learning foundational literacy skills. The students will thrive in an organized environment with a new storage organizer and timers. The playdoh will be used for hands-on learning experiences and sensory activities. Lastly, having snacks available for students is essential to create a safe and comfortable learning environment.
