A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Our co-teach classroom is full of twenty-six energetic 4th graders. They are hardworking and ready for 21st century learning. The problem is... we are stuck in a classroom environment that hasn't changed since I was in the 4th grade! Our classroom community is all about collaboration. Students work best when they work alongside their peers in a comfortable learning environment.
Research shows that students are able to focus and do their best work when they are comfortable.
Across the nation, classrooms are changing the way student workspaces look, for the better! By creating a flexible learning environment, I will be able to teach my students how to be mindful of where they learn best.
Research has shown the benefits of flexible seating and how student choice and comfort increases engagement and participation. Therefore, a student-centered classroom redesign is the focus of this project.
My Project
I am requesting 6 NeoLounge Smooth Back Chairs for my students to use around the classroom. Students will be able to work collaboratively with teachers and classmates without having to sit directly on the floor.
These full-size chairs have a seat height that is only 6 inches from the ground, which is a perfect alternative to sitting on the cold tile or carpet.
This height provides interactive collaborative learning that is fun and creative. The lightweight design makes the chairs easy to move around the room as needed.
Please consider helping our students get the most out of their education by providing them with yet another flexible seating option. These awesome chairs will help make group work and collaborative learning fun!
