This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is a group of lively, positive, fun-loving, and inquisitive children. They come to school each day with a growth mindset, believing that they can and will learn more and behave better than the day before. And they do. They easily soak up everything I teach them from academics to interpersonal skills.

I am hoping to provide them with the meaningful, hands-on learning experiences they need and deserve.

Please join me in creating opportunities for them that they will remember for a lifetime!

My Project

Children are curious by nature, so it only seems right to create a classroom environment that allows them to use their imagination to try new things! A Maker Space would give my students the opportunity to create, problem solve, and discover by doing what kids do best... playing!

It would help teach my students to take creative risks without the fear of being "right" or "wrong".

To create this space, my students need LEGO Sets, K'NEX, and Play-Doh. By allowing students to develop their own ideas and bring them to life, we are creating highly confident critical thinkers, innovators, and engineers for our future!
