Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are sweet, welcoming, kind, and caring. They are always willing to help each other as much as possible and love to celebrate each other’s achievements and differences.

99% of my students are English language learners, 100% of my students are considered at risk due to their low socioeconomic status.

My classroom is a diverse environment where every culture is celebrated, loved, and respected.

During this pandemic, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on my teaching and the things that would help my students become better learners in the classroom and during distance learning. I would love for my students to have the opportunity to have a printer in the classroom for us to use it as needed. As well as a few other materials that are needed in our classroom that we do not have.

My Project

Due to Covid-19 our school is closed until further noticed. While we learn from home it would be very helpful if we had a printer to print out material to model lessons for my students on our live lessons. Having this printer along with a laminating machine would help me better model lessons for my students.

These materials would also help us when we return to our school because we only have one color printer at school and we are trying to social distance as much as possible.

It would be very useful to have a color printer in our classroom and laminating machine so everything we use can be disinfected right after we are done using it.

I often have things I wish I could print in color for my students to help them improve their vocabulary, comprehension and math skills. However, I am not able to do so because we do not have a printer in the classroom to print things as we need them. Your contribution would truly help my students to have more resources in our classroom.
